The Buena has finally realised its full potential. The new owners (who are locals) have undertaken an enormous transformation of the iconic and historic Mosman pub. The Buena is about quality and doing things well. Richards Stanisich, in collaboration with Tess Regan Design, have been inspired by the original character of the building and created a variety of exciting spaces with uncompromising style.
The Buena (renamed as the locals have always affectionately known it) now has many wonderful parts: a timber and leather panelled public bar that has been restored to the original layout, a new glass conservatory extension that houses Bistro Moncur, a wine bar with views into the theatre of the kitchen and a rooftop restaurant under a glass canopy. The Buena feels exactly how a pub in Mosman should – iconic, quality-driven, rich in detail and full of character.
